My name is Mela Melak, and I am based in Europe, working everywhere.

My last movie, „A Real Pain” (directed by Jesse Eisenberg), took part in the U.S. Competition at the Sundance Film Festival 2024. 

One of my previous projects, a French-Polish documentary, KUBRICK BY KUBRICK (dir. Gregory Monro), won an international Emmy.
I was also a production designer in Poland on Claire Denis’s HIGH LIFE, starring Juliette Binoche and Robert Pattinson.

Working internationally, I developed projects in Malta, Germany, the Czech Republic, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, UAE, and South Africa.  In 2021, I cooperated with Genomedia in Dubai as a creative producer on the studio’s original series and co-productions.

Later, in 2019 and 2021,  I enriched my studies at the Art Department Master Class program, where my tutors were KK. Barrett, Christina Moore (GAMES OF THRONES) and Ludovica Ferrario (THE YOUNG POPE )

I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz and graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Photography in 2011.
